Doodhpokhari Chepe Hydropower Project

The Doodhpokhari Chepe Hydropower Public Ltd. project is located on Chepe Khola, a tributary of the Marsyandi River, formed from the pristine waters of Doodhpokhari Lake, near the Himalchuli Himal. Registered in April 2017, the project aims to harness the river’s hydro potential while respecting its tourism, religious, and environmental significance.

The project officially began on November 7, 2017, following approval from the Department of Electricity Development. A connection agreement was completed with the Grid Operating Department under NEA in November 2018, followed by a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) in January 2019. The project is led by experienced professionals from the hydropower and financial sectors.
