Super Chepe Hydropower (SCHP) Project
A run-of-the-river hydropower plant on the Chepe River, Ajirkot Rural Municipality, Gorkha district — designed to deliver clean, low-impact electricity to Nepal’s grid.
The project supplies power directly to Nepal’s national grid under a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the Nepal Electricity Authority, supporting local development and the nation’s clean energy goals.

Super Chepe Hydropower Project(SCHP)
SCHP is a run-of-the-river type hydropower project based on Chepe River in Ajirkot Rural Municipality, Gorkha district of Nepal. The installed capacity is 9.05 MW with an annual average energy of 54.75 GWh. Developed by Ridge Line Energy Ltd. and financed by Rastriya Banijya Bank Ltd. with a 70:30 loan:equity ratio.
PPA with Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) was completed in 2018. SCHP has weir crest level at 1848.4 m and powerhouse at 1290.60 m. Gross head: 559.4 m, Catchment area: 49.23 Km², Average discharge: 3.95 m³/s. Commissioned: July 2023.
Doodhpokhari Chepe Hydropower Project(DCHP)
Promoted in Chepe Khola, a tributary of Marsyandi River, originating from the glacier-fed Doodhpokhari Lake. The company was registered in April 2017 and officially initiated in November 2017 after obtaining the “Electricity Production Survey Authority”.
Grid Connection Agreement was signed in Nov 2018, and PPA with NEA was completed in Jan 2019. The project has cultural and tourism significance, with experienced professionals leading the initiative.
Upper Maiwa Khola Hydropower Project(UMHP)
Developed by Kang Hydropower Co. Ltd. (KHCL) with DPR prepared by Samyak Engineering Pvt. Ltd. Installed Capacity: 17.85 MW | Gross Head: 515 m | Design Discharge: 4.19 m³/s. Location: Maiwa Khola & Meringden, Taplejung District, Koshi Province.

Catchment Area: 66.12 km² | Mean Annual Discharge: 6.51 m³/s | Riparian Release: 118 L/s | Average Precipitation: 2169 mm.
Weir: 25m free-flow ogee | Headrace Tunnel: 5026.5m | Turbines: 2 Pelton units (9.3 MW each) | Transmission: 132 kV, 4.036 km ACSR WOLF line.
Estimated Cost: NPR 369,853,231.60 | Construction Period: 36 months.
